The problem
Ideas start on a whiteboard and end in a document, and somewhere in between they get copied by hand. Three weeks later nobody knows which one is true.

Frame parts of the canvas and present them in order. No slide deck to keep in sync.
Branch an idea with a keystroke and restyle the whole tree at once.
Mention a page and it links both ways. Every doc shows who points to it, so knowledge becomes a graph instead of a pile.
See who is on the page, where they are and what they are typing. Comments and history keep the thread.

Edgeless canvas
This is a working whiteboard. Drag the stickies, add your own, connect them, tidy the board. It is the same feel as the real canvas, in miniature.
7 elements · 4 connectors
Drag notes and watch the connectors follow. New notes connect to whatever is selected. Double-click to rewrite one.
Arrows attach to elements and reroute as you move them.
Group a region, name it, and present it as a slide.
Sketch freely or snap to shapes with text inside.
Drop any page block onto the board and keep editing it.
Block editor
Every piece of a page is a block you can move, convert and link. Click into the doc on the right and type / to see the menu. It is a real editor, so go ahead and write.
From scribble to shipped doc
Scroll through how a launch plan comes together in Canvyst, from a messy morning to a page the whole company reads.
Dump the raw thought into today's journal or throw stickies on a canvas. Speed first, structure later.

Local-first sync
Your pages live on your device first and sync to the cloud second. Take Maya's laptop offline, tick things off, add a few items, then reconnect and watch both devices converge.
Both devices are live. Edits reach the other side in well under a second.
Up to date
Simulated in your browser. In Canvyst, the same merge runs across every device in your workspace.

Agenda, decisions and action items that land as to-dos.
Problem, goals and scope in prose, with the user flow on the canvas.
Three frames, a pile of stickies and a column for actions.
Start from one idea and branch until the shape of it shows.
A database with a board view, statuses and owners.
A page per day, linked to everything you touched.
Who it is for
Product teams, classrooms, research groups and one person with a lot of ideas all end up needing the same thing: words and pictures that stay together.
Write the brief as a page, then switch to Edgeless and sketch the user flow around the same blocks. Engineering reads the doc; design works the canvas; nobody updates two tools.

Most teams pay for a docs app and a whiteboard app, then spend their week copying between them. Canvyst puts both on the same page, built from the same blocks.
Security and control
Whiteboards hold the thinking a company would never publish. Canvyst gives it clear permissions, a full history and encryption throughout.
Pages, canvases and attachments are encrypted on the wire and in storage, and every sync is authenticated.
Owners, admins and members per workspace, with published links off by default and controlled by role.
Every page keeps its history, canvas included. See who changed what and restore any earlier version.
A full local copy on each device means work continues through outages, flights and bad hotel Wi-Fi.
Sign in through OIDC with the accounts you already manage, so leavers lose access the moment they leave.
Workspaces are backed up nightly and backups are verified by restoring them. Export pages to Markdown, HTML or PDF whenever you like.
FAQ
Anything else, write to us. A person from the Canvyst team will answer.
Most teams are writing in Canvyst the same day. Create a workspace, invite members with the right roles and start from a template instead of a blank page. We can walk your team through it in a short onboarding session.
Every edit is written to a copy on your device first, then synced to the cloud. If the connection drops you keep working at full speed. When it returns, changes from every device merge automatically, using conflict-free data structures rather than “which version do you want to keep?” dialogs.
No. They are two views of one set of blocks. Edit a paragraph on the canvas and it is edited in the page, because it is the same paragraph. That is the whole point.
Yes. Import Markdown files and Notion exports, and export pages to Markdown, HTML or PDF and canvases to images. We run the first migration with you and check the result together.
Yes. Drop images, PDFs and other files into a page or onto the canvas, and embed Figma, YouTube, GitHub and any web link as a live card. Attachments stay with their block in both views.
Pricing isn't per seat. Inviting the hundredth teammate costs the same as inviting the tenth. Ask us for a quote.
Members get roles per workspace. When you choose to, a page can also be published as a read-only link for clients or students. It is off until someone with permission turns it on.
It runs in any modern browser, including on phones and tablets, and the desktop apps for macOS, Windows and Linux keep a full offline copy of your workspace.

Open Canvyst, write a page, press Edgeless and watch the same blocks become a canvas. Your whole team, both ways of thinking, one version of every idea.
Support can cover this if docs ship by Nov 10.
