Scope and roles#
This policy applies to Flyst, its account and authentication flows, and related support interactions operated by Techyst.
For workspace content, the organization that provides your Flyst workspace normally decides why and how personal information is used; Techyst processes that information to provide the service. Techyst is responsible for information used to administer accounts, operate Flyst, secure the service, and communicate with you directly.
Information we handle#
Account information. Your name, email address, profile details, authentication identifiers, workspace membership, preferences, and account settings.
Workspace content. Projects, issues, cycles, comments, attachments, labels, activity records, and other information you or your organization add to Flyst.
Technical and usage information. Device and browser details, IP address, timestamps, request and error logs, security events, and information about how features are used.
Support and integration information. Messages you send to us and data exchanged with third-party services that you or your workspace administrator choose to connect.
How we use information#
We use information to provide and maintain Flyst; authenticate users; organize workspaces; process the actions you request; provide support; monitor reliability and performance; prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; meet legal obligations; and communicate about the service.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, processing may be necessary to perform a contract, comply with law, protect legitimate interests in operating and securing Flyst, or act with your consent. The basis depends on the context and information involved.
How information is shared#
Information may be available to workspace members and administrators according to their permissions. We may also share information with service providers that help us host, secure, maintain, or support Flyst; with integrations you enable; when required by law or valid legal process; or when necessary to protect people, rights, and service integrity.
If Techyst is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, relevant information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
International processing#
Flyst and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where applicable law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
Retention#
We retain information for as long as needed to provide Flyst, maintain legitimate business and security records, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Retention varies with the type of information, workspace settings, contractual requirements, and applicable law.
When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it where reasonably practicable. Residual copies may remain for a limited period in protected backups or where retention is legally required.
Security#
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or disclosure. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You can help by using a strong password, protecting your sign-in methods, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.
Your choices and rights#
You can review and update certain profile information in Flyst. Workspace owners and administrators may be able to export, correct, or delete workspace content and manage membership.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
For workspace-controlled information, contact your workspace administrator first. For other privacy requests, contact Techyst.
Cookies and local storage#
Flyst may use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect accounts, and operate the service. Your browser controls may let you remove or block these technologies, but doing so can prevent parts of Flyst from working correctly.
Children#
Flyst is intended for workplace use and is not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Flyst without appropriate authorization, please contact us.
Changes and contact#
We may update this policy as Flyst, our practices, or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to provide additional notice.
Questions, concerns, and privacy requests can be submitted through the Techyst contact page.
